It is better to harmonize your clothes with the location than to starkly contrast

Some may argue with me on this one, mainly because the goal of the session is to allow people to be the star of the photo. While I agree that the couple should be the focus of the shoot,  I am also going to challenge by saying that way too many people think that in order to stand out, a contrasting color is necessary (such as wearing red in a deep forest or in a snowy mountain terrain). I think it is completely okay to stand out, but keep in mind that there are many ways to stand out in your photos (such as the composition your photographer chooses) and clothing is just one element of an overall bigger picture. I suggest considering all the colors that could harmonize with the location you are shooting in and you may be surprised at what is possible.
